What is MITC?

The Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Center (MITC) is a university-wide resource for developing radiopharmaceutical-based diagnostic imaging and therapeutic agents. It also serves as a hub of shared resources for in vivo imaging from mice to humans.

MITC supports the needs of investigators at the University, within the UM System, and beyond, particularly those who wish to incorporate state-of-the-art in vivo imaging to advance their research. We support a broad scope of imaging and theranostic research, with an emphasis on pre-clinical studies.

We also are a proud partner of the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the MU Research Reactor, and NextGen Precision Health. Partnerships with these and other facilities allow us to conduct integrated research benefiting our investigators and the surrounding community.
