Carolyn J. Anderson was presented with the 2023 Manchot Research Professorship during a recent ceremony at the Technical University of Munich. The award recognizes outstanding chemists and commemorates chemist Wilhelm Manchot (1869 –1945).
Anderson was recognized for her unique expertise, numerous contributions to science and medicine, and for laying the foundation of the growing field of theranostics.
After receiving the professorship, Anderson presented her lecture, “The Role of Inorganic Chemistry and Radiochemistry in the Theranostics Success Story.”
Anderson holds the Simón-Ellebracht Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and is Director of the Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Center and Associate Director of Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.
